Switching to WagTab
Your clients, pets and visit history come over from your old software or a spreadsheet, free.
How it works
You do it yourself in Settings, or we do it with you on a call.

Download the export from your old app
Most grooming apps let you download your clients. Tell us which app you use and we’ll help you find it.

Drop the files into WagTab
In Settings, under Bring your data. WagTab recognizes the exports from the most-used grooming apps. For anything else, you match each column once, like “Cell” to phone.

Check it before it’s saved
You see how many clients, pets and visits it found, and which ones look like the same client twice. You decide on each pair before anything is saved.

Save it, and undo it if you need to
If something looks wrong afterward, the newest import can be undone for 30 days. Anything you’ve already used since, like a client you’ve booked, is kept.
What comes over
- Clients
- Names, phone numbers, emails, addresses, emergency contacts, notes and alerts.
- Pets
- Breed, weight, size, birthday, grooming and medical notes, vet, behavior flags and vaccine dates.
- Visit history
- Past visits, so the desk can see what each dog had last time.
- Upcoming visits
- Visits already booked land on your calendar, matched to your services and groomers.
- What stays behind
- Photos, saved cards, payment history, balances and package credits, memberships and repeat-visit rules. You add your team yourself. Some apps leave prices or vaccines out of their export; we’ll tell you what yours has.
Your files stay yours
The export is read in your own browser. Only the checked clients, pets and visits are sent to your shop’s own database, a few at a time. If it stops partway, from a dropped connection or a very long history, add the same files again and it carries on where it stopped.
Moving over costs nothing, now or later.
